Frequently Asked Questions
What is a temporary email?
A temporary (or disposable) email is a short-lived address you can use instead of your real one. Anything sent to it appears in your PHMail inbox, and the whole inbox — address and messages — is removed automatically when it expires.
How long are messages kept?
Messages are deleted automatically 7 days after they arrive on the free plan (14 days on Plus, 30 days on Developer). The address itself stays reusable — you can reopen it any time by typing it in, and if it's empty and unused it's simply recreated on demand.
Are PHMail inboxes private?
No. PHMail inboxes are temporary and can be accessed by anyone who knows the inbox address. Do not use PHMail to receive sensitive, personal, financial, or confidential information.
Do I need to register?
No. There are no accounts, passwords, or sign-ups. An address is created for you the moment you open the site.
Can I receive verification emails?
Yes — verification codes, confirmation links, and other transactional emails sent to your temporary address arrive in your inbox within seconds. Note that some services block disposable email domains.
Can I reopen an inbox later or on another device?
Yes — that's the point. Copy the address, and later enter it (with or without the domain part) on the homepage and click Open Inbox. You can even invent an address, hand it out first, and open it afterwards: mail that arrived in the meantime will be waiting.
Are messages permanently stored?
No. A scheduled cleanup permanently removes messages once their retention window passes (7 days free, 14 days Plus, 30 days Developer), along with unused empty addresses.
Can I send emails from PHMail?
No. PHMail currently supports receiving emails only. Outgoing email is intentionally not offered.
